The PATG Group, Inc., a St. Louis–based technology company focused on best-in-class mobile learning and inspiration apps, today announced that Douglas W. Palme has rejoined the company as Director of Software Engineering, effective February 26, 2024.
Palme returns to The PATG Group after previously serving as Director of Software Development from November 2020 through January 2023. In his new role, he will oversee day-to-day operations for the company’s software engineering team and lead its cloud and AI technology strategy—guiding a 10-person organization building mobile, cloud, and cross-platform products across iOS, Android, and web.

Palme brings more than 25 years of experience building real-time enterprise systems, cloud platforms, and mobile products across healthcare, pharmaceutical distribution, telecom, and consumer technology. Highlights of his career include:
- Driving cloud modernization that reduced operating costs by 80% and cut development cycle time by 50%
- Building RTCP, a real-time healthcare claims platform that moved processing from hours to under four seconds and saved the organization $4M+ per year
Most recently, Palme served as IT Manager, Strategy Mobile Billing at Charter Communications, where he led QA and engineering for a $10M billing assurance platform and reduced billing audit cycle time from 10.5 days to 1.2 days.
Palme holds studies in Business Administration and Computer Science from Bob Jones University and Saint Charles Community College. He is based in Lake Saint Louis, Missouri.
